humble beginnings

One of the most exciting things about moving to the farm has been getting our site from ‘over-grown lantana-patch’ to ‘chez-chel’n’rach’…

We thought we would do a quick before to after series of images, especially for those who have just joined us, to show the gradual transformation of our site…and today, this site becomes our new home 🙂 🙂 🙂

Before the clearing happened...

The initial clearing of the site

Drains created & site finalised

Gravel driveway & shipping container....

Caravan arrives (very exciting day)

A jolly good load of crusher dust gets dumped on site

Creating our first pathways...

A few homely touches starting to show...

Plants starting to arrive...and, oooh what a nice pathway!

Have a great week, think of us cleaning and pray that we get all our bond back!

  1. Wowsers, you have come a long way, looks really inviting and homely. The crusher dust was a GREAT idea, it really looks good. As for your bond, pfft, those walls were clean enough to eat dinner off! My arms are only just recovering xo

  2. Ooh, I can’t wait to see what it looks like when you’re “finished” (although these types of thing are never truly finished are they… there’s always something which needs weeding, plucking, raking, pushing, etc). Are you planning to grow any stuff right next to your caravan?
